Christmas Lights for Homes

Your House, Lit Right

Rooflines, trees and the front door — measured before we quote, shown before you sign, and taken down and stored when the season ends.

How a home install goes

Six Steps, Start to Storage

The same steps on every home we light, and we have lit homes around Nashville every season since 2021.

  1. Step 1: We talk through the look

Which rooflines, which trees and shrubs, a wreath on the door or not, and the bulb color: warm white, cool white, multicolor, red or green.

  2. Step 2: We trace your rooflines

On an overhead photo of your home we trace every run we will light: the eaves and rakes, the ridge, and the bare wire that joins them into one continuous strand. That is what we price.

  3. Step 3: You see it before you sign

Your proposal shows the traced rooflines right next to what we are quoting, and we can draw the lights on a picture of your home’s front so you see the finished look.

  4. Step 4: Our crew hangs it

An insured Hisway Lighting crew brings the ladders and our commercial-grade C7 bulbs, clips every run in place and tests it before they leave.

  5. Step 5: We keep it lit all season

If a strand goes out, call us and we come fix it. You never climb up there.

  6. Step 6: We take it down and store it

After Christmas we take every strand down and store the lights. Next season’s proposal starts from this season’s design.

Temporary or permanent?

For the Season, or for Good

Both are measured and quoted the same careful way. The difference is whether we take it down in January.

What we light

More Than the Roofline

  • Rooflines — the eaves and rakes, and the ridge, on one continuous strand
  • Trees — wrapped loosely, or branch by branch
  • Shrubs — by the porch, along the walk
  • Wreaths — on the door or the gables
Good questions

Home Lighting, Answered

How do you price Christmas lights for a house?

By the foot of roofline we light, with your roof’s pitch and the number of stories factored in, plus any trees, shrubs or wreaths you add. We trace your rooflines on an overhead photo of your home before we quote, so every foot is measured, not guessed.

Do I have to buy the lights?

Not for temporary Christmas lights. The C7 bulbs are ours: we hang them, keep them lit, then take them down and store them until next season.

Can you light trees, shrubs and the front door?

Yes. Trees and shrubs can be wrapped, and wreaths added, on top of the rooflines. Each one is its own line on your quote.

What is permanent lighting?

A color-changing strand mounted in a low-profile track along your roofline. It stays up all year, so there is nothing to hang or take down each season, and you can change the color for any occasion.

I had you last year. Do I start over?

No. We keep your design, so next season’s proposal starts from last season’s job. You confirm it, or tell us what to change.
